Description

Agricola Marrone’s Langhe Nebbiolo Che Vale is a divine, unadulterated expression of the grape.  Made without the use of oak, this wonderful wine shows immense purity and drive, with lots of ripe cherry and small red fruits alongside pretty aromatics of delicate rose and violets.  The palate continues with a vibrant freshness, perky fruit and is well-balanced with fine tannins.

This beautiful wine is incredibly versatile with food, being just as happy to sit alongside red meats, aged cheeses and of course mushrooms, as it would with fish dishes or a simple picnic!

The Che Vale is made from grapes planted in 1995 on south-east facing slopes at 400m above sea level.  Hand-harvested at the beginning of October, the grapes are de-stemmed and fermented in stainless steel, with additional time in bottle prior to release.

NV Original 60/40, Champagne Delavenne, Grand Cru Bouzy

Champagne Blend

The Brut Tradition Original 60/40 is made up of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay from two vintages which are fermented with natural yeasts in stainless steel.  It's extremely classy with a great depth of flavour showing apple fritter and brioche with fresh apple and lemon drop charatcters.  We are delighted to have these wines on our shelves, and also very lucky seeing as most of the production ends up on the tables of some of France's best Michelin Starred restaurants.

2022/23 Carte d’Or, Baumard, AC Coteaux du Layon, Half Bottle

Chenin Blanc

The Carte d'Or Coteaux du Layon from Baumard has a very attractive honeyed nose, with lifted yellow fruits and more golden tropical elements such as mango, guava and pineapple. It has a particularly tropical character and a very fresh feel on the palate, with steely minerality and a zippy background acidity giving invigorating tartness to keep the wine luscious and buoyant. The rounded, approachable finish has good length.

Champagne Blend

The grapes for the Lete Vautrain Brut 204 are harvested by hand and sorted prior to fermentation at a cool temperature, and ageing on lees takes place for a minimum of 36 months.  The wine shows a lovely deep golden hue in the glass with apple, peach and apricot fruit complemented by dried fruits and classic biscuity notes.  A well balanced, complex and rounded Champagne that is the perfect aperitif style.
