The Pucelle is one of our favourite Domaine Belleville white wines, with a beautiful structure and impeccable balance on the palate. The complex palate shows a surprising mellowness backed by toasty notes and a very classy touch of minerality on the long, lingering finish.

Perfectly sited on protected, south-facing, chalk soils, the D'Urberville vineyard produces perfectly ripe grapes for exuberant, fruit led English sparkling wines.  We are proud to represent them and love the fact that it is less than a mile from the shop as the crow flies.  Zesty, fresh and very easy drinking this is a great aperitif style of English fizz.

2022/23 Carte d’Or, Baumard, AC Coteaux du Layon, Half Bottle

Chenin Blanc

The Carte d'Or Coteaux du Layon from Baumard has a very attractive honeyed nose, with lifted yellow fruits and more golden tropical elements such as mango, guava and pineapple. It has a particularly tropical character and a very fresh feel on the palate, with steely minerality and a zippy background acidity giving invigorating tartness to keep the wine luscious and buoyant. The rounded, approachable finish has good length.
