Made from grapes grown on a mixture of sandy and volcanic soils, the Falnghina del Sannio Aicon is a deliciously perky white is the perfect spring/summer wine.  Lively and zesty with pear and citrus fruits tinged with delicate floral aromatics.  The finish is wonderfully clean with refreshing acidity that carries a clean, mineral streak from start to finish.

The Bric Sassi vineyard enjoys a privileged position in the Gavi growing area. Here the vineyards mostly face due South, and are made up of 40 year old vines. The result is a complex wine with delicious white peach notes on the nose leading onto more stone fruit on the palate as well as delicious honeydew melon.

Godello

This terrific Godello from Bodegas y Vinedos Merayo is great value. Delicate and pale yellow in the glass with an intense nose of green apple and stone fruit and traces of citrus and fennel. Minerality lends the wine a further degree of complexity. The palate is generous and rounded, without ever losing the sensation of freshness with notes of citrus, green apple, and minerality. The texture from lees ageing is apparent in the lovely mouthfeel, enveloping the wine and giving it a rich, slightly sweet feeling of overall harmony.

2025 Grolleau Gris, Domaine du Haut Bourg, Val du Loire

Grolleau Gris

Domaine du Haut Bourg are primarily Muscadet producers based in the Grandlieu appelation south of Nantes.  The brothers Nicholas and Herve also plant a range of other varieties includung Gamay, Sauvignon and Grolleau Gris. The proximity of the Atlantic and also the Lac du Grandlieu to the low lying vineyards allow for an early harvest which helps keep the wines spritely, fresh and characterful.  Terrifically put together, this is a great wine to try if you fancy a change from Sauvignon Blanc, melon, lychee and stone fruit with zippy, fresh acidity on the lively finish.

2025 Hartenberg Riesling, Stellenbosch

Riesling

The Hartenberg  Riesling is planted on clay-rich soils and harvested entirely by hand. With 25% of the grapes showing signs of Botrytis at harvest time, this wine boasts stone fruit aromas, honeyed petrol notes, lanolin and a vibrant acidity. The bouquet displays beautiful elements of chalky,flint and minerally notes.The wine is juicy and opulent on palate entry and then a fine acidity arrives to provide a perfect foil to the inherent fruit “sweetness”. Despite being bone dry,the wine finishes with an appealing sweet/sour character,begging a second taste.

Hondarribi Zuri

Virgen de Lorea have been growing the classic Txacoli grapes for over 300 years but have only recently started bottling their own production, and were the first winery to go under the DO Bizkaiko Txacolina.  The results are electric! This delicious, zingy Txacoli has a months lees ageing to give a tiny bit of added texture to the ripe citrus and green apple fruit. Zingy, refreshing and very easy to drink.

Sauvignon Blanc

The Salt River Sauvignon Blanc takes it's name from the trendy district of Cape Town that Savage Wines calls home.  Made from a 35 year old parcel of Stellenbosch vines, this terrific wine is complex, linear and bursting with citrus, grapefruit and elderflower notes. Precise and finishing with a thirst-quenching saline burst, the Salt River Sauvignon Blanc is delicious on release but will also age gracefully for a few years.

The Serbal Cabernet Franc is an excellent example of how well this grape variety has settled in Argentina.  Historically used as a blending agent for Malbec, we are seeing an increasing amount of single varietal 'Cab Francs' crossing the Atlantic, and we're delighted to receive them! This is the flagship wine from Vassaltis and showcases Santorini Assyrtiko at it's best.  Hand harvested fruit is whole bunch pressed and fermented in stainless with the finished wine resting on lees for 7 months.  This terrific white wine is typically intense with powerful mineral and pumice stone characters mingling with ripe tropical fruits, saline tinged acidity and intense citrus flavours on the finish.
