Chateau Grandis 2011 Cru Bourgeois.JPG

2011 chateau grandis, cru bourgeois medoc

Bordeaux Blend

Château Grandis became a family run estate in 1857 and the vineyards are made up of a modest 10 hectares which enables the family to maintain the strictest high standards both in the vineyard and the cellar. In 2005 Brice Vergez took over the running of the estate and has continued to practice the techniques of hand harvesting, hand pruning and racking from barrel to barrel.  He also prefers ploughing between the rows of vines rather than the systematic use of herbicides, promoting soil health wherever possible.

2011 comtes de champagne, grand cru blanc de blancs, taittinger

Chardonnay

Taittinger's Comtes de Champagne is a rare treat and only made in the finest vintages from 100% Chardonnay form 5 of the greatest Grand Cru vineyards in Champagne.  2011 was a particularly good vintage for Chardonnay, marked by its early ripening and drought conditions which forced the vines to delve deep in search of water for growth.
