NV Blanc de Blancs ‘La Signa-Terres’, Champagne Paul Lebrun

Chardonnay

The La Signa-Terres from Paul Lebrun shows an incredible butter-like creaminess alongside orchard fruits, citrus and almond aromas. Toasty, but with a soft palate thanks to the mild dosage and a creamy petillance which doesn't overpower the delicate texture and freshness. The finish is lengthy with hints of toast, zest and salted almonds.

NV Gran Rue Metodo Classico, Cantine Povero

Champagne Blend

The Gran Rue from Cantine Povero is a traditional method sparkling wine made from roughly 50/50 Chardonnay and Pinot Noir using only the first pressed must. Two years lees ageing produces a beautifully balanced, biscuity fizz that is soft and creamy with a gentle mousse and delicate notes of pastry and baked bread.  Only 6000 bottles are produced annually.

Gorgola Extra Brut, Cabana das Bolboretas DO Rias Baixas

Albarino/Alvarinho

Sitting a mere 20km from the Atlantic, the Cabana das Bolboretas is a boutique vineyard that benefits from the cooling influence of the ocean.  This surprising sparkling wine is made from 100% Albarino harvested in 2015 and is made by he traditional method with a second fermentation in bottle.  The wine spends 26 months onlees and is classified as Extra Brut with 3-6 g/l of residual sugar.
