With a staggering 8 years on lees, this terrific Cava Gran reserva has to be one of the best value sparkling wines that we've come across recently.  The wine shows a lovely golden colour in the glass with delicate bubbles.  The floral nose has hints of pear, apple and star anise and leads to a wonderfully balanced and elegant palate.

2019 5 Finques Reserva, Perelada, DO Emporda

Red Blend

The  Perelada 5 Finques Reserva is deep cherry red in the glass, with a nose brimming with red fruits and spices, some balsamic notes and a toasted background.  In the mouth it is fresh, well structured and balanced with prominent but well integrated tannins. Characterful and a pure pleasure to drink.

Loxarel Winery is located on Can Mayol Estate, in Vilobí del Penedès, a 50-hectare organic winery located an hour south west of Barcelona. The business was founded in the 1930's and today is run by 4th generation winemaker, Josep Mitjans alongside his wife Teresa.
