Description
Sitting a mere 20km from the Atlantic, the Cabana das Bolboretas is a boutique vineyard that benefits from the cooling influence of the ocean. This surprising sparkling wine is made from 100% Albarino harvested in 2015 and is made by he traditional method with a second fermentation in bottle. The wine spends 26 months onlees and is classified as Extra Brut with 3-6 g/l of residual sugar.
The wine is simply delicious, giving green apple and citrus peel characters underpinned with a subtle salinity. Extremely refreshing with a gentle mousse, this is a lovely foodie wine and perfect with shellfish and paella.
Founded by five friends passionate about artisanal winemaking, Cabana das Bolboretas produces micro-batches that prioritize quality and terroir expression. Each cuvée, including Gorgola, is limited to a few thousand bottles and is rarely available outside of select Michelin-starred restaurants in Spain. The vineyard honours both Galician and Champagne traditions, capturing the best of the Albariño grape and Galicia’s maritime influences.

2015 Cava Gran Reserva Brut Real, Heretat Mastinell
White Blend
With a staggering 8 years on lees, this terrific Cava Gran reserva has to be one of the best value sparkling wines that we've come across recently. The wine shows a lovely golden colour in the glass with delicate bubbles. The floral nose has hints of pear, apple and star anise and leads to a wonderfully balanced and elegant palate.

We are big fans of Germar Breton here at DWC. Family owned and run with a personal touch, this Champagne house produce friendly wines that are generous, approachable and almost dangerously drinkable. The elegant Blanc de Noirs is made with 100% Pinot Noir, including 20% reserve wine, and shows an intense nose of hazlenuts and dried fruits alongside peach and citrus fruit. The generous palate is intense and persistent with a lovely balance of fruit and freshness with nutty undertones.
