Description
The Merlot di Vistorta comes from a fabulous spot in Friuli with gravelly, alluvial soils that helps to produce this complex and elegant red from Friuli.
On the nose, the wine shows maturity with dried red fruits, plum, berries and earthy notes with leather, cedar and spice building. The full, balanced palate is rich and rounded yet retains acidity to the stewed plum, redcurrant and black cherry fruit. Tobacco, cocao and a savoury minerality take over on the long, well-balanced finish.

Rhone Blend
This relatively young family owned Domaine was created in 2001 by vignerons with 4 generations of vinegrowing and winemaking expertise under their belts. They own some seriously old vines in superb sites in the Southern Rhone on a mixture of soils of red sand, clay and the classic 'Galet' pebbles associated with Chateauneuf du Pape. As a result, their wines posess a wonderful depth and concentration.
