Ai Galera Poetico Tinto, Tejo has an intense ruby red colour. Vinous and clean aromas with hints of red berry fruits. Round in the mouth and medium bodied. A well rounded finish with mellow tannin.
Long overlooked by the wine cognoscenti, the growing interest in Portuguese wine is finally resulting in more awareness of the potential of this proud country. The previously undervalued Tejo region, lying to the south of Lisbon, is capable of producing wines of enormous value and character – something that is captured by Ai Galera.

The grapes for this medium weight, fruit led Julienas are hand harvested and left in tank for 10 days to macerate in order to optimise the colour and aroma of the wine. Fermentation takes place at a warm 27/28 degrees centigrade and maturation follows until March when the wine is bottled.An intense, purple colour. Fruity aromas dominated by fragrant raspberry, blackberry and blueberry. Round, supple and rich yet balanced by a lingering freshness on the finish.

The Un Bon Canon Cotes du Rhone hits the spot every time with it's fruit forward blend of 60% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 5% Cinsault and 5% Mouvedre which is fermented in concrete tanks. The vineyards lie in the southern part of the region on a dried up river bed strewn with heat retaining pebbles. The hot summer sun ensures that the wine is bold and fruity with raspberry and dark fruits and hints of garrigue/herbal undergrowth.
