Description
The Creative Batch by Beau Constantia was first produced in 2020 as a direct result of the Coronavirus Pandemic when the prohibition enforced by the South African Government threatened to wreak havoc with the harvest. This is an enterprising blend of Chenin Blanc, Fernao Pires, Roussanne, Verdelho and Viognier, all of which are fermented seperately and then blended before resting for 9 months on their lees in tank. The first vintage was intended as a one off but it was such a success that it came back in 2021. Lively and concentrated, with an intense ginger and clove tinged citrus core. The palate is fairly rich with a distinct waxiness leading to a tangy, tropical finsh with fine acidity.
2021 Blend: Chenin Blanc (66%), Fernao Pires (15%), Roussanne (9%), Verdelho (7%) & Viognier (3%)
