Description
Muller Thurgau may not be the sexiest of grape varieties but every now and again you come across one which makes you take notice. The Kurtatsch Muller Thurgau is a sustainably produced white wine with a personality! Benefitting from the warm days, cool nights and extra hang time on the vine, this slow ripening white comes from vines grown at altitude on sandy and loam soils. Elegant on the nose with stone fruit and jasmine scented floral notes, the palate is beautifully balanced, fresh and lively leads to an aromatic finish. This lovely white is drinking well now, but will continue to develop for a couple of years.

The grapes for this approachable Puligny are hand harvested and undergo a gentle pressing. The juice is then left to settle for a few days then put into French oak barrels, 30% of which are new. Indigenous yeasts are used for fermentation and the wine spends 12 months in barrel before being blended and bottled. Great persistence in the mouth, this wine has a wonderful freshness to it and can be enjoyed in it's youth.
