Description

Domaine Badoz are 10th Generation vignerons in the hilly Revermont area of Jura.  Benoit is the current Badoz to be at the helm and, since 2003, has really got to grips with the vineyards and wine range.  This delicious Trousseau is wonderfully elegant with soft red fruits, a velvety texture and fresh finish courtesy of the alpine nature of the vineyards.

Un Bon Canon Cotes du Rhone Rouge.JPG

2024 Cotes Du Rhone, Un Bon Canon

Rhone Blend

The Un Bon Canon Cotes du Rhone hits the spot every time with it's fruit forward blend of 60% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 5% Cinsault and 5% Mouvedre which is fermented in concrete tanks.  The vineyards lie in the southern part of the region on a dried up river bed strewn with heat retaining pebbles.  The hot summer sun ensures that the wine is bold and fruity with raspberry and dark fruits and hints of garrigue/herbal undergrowth.

Vandal Combat Rouge Field Blend.JPG

2022 Gonzo Combat Rouge, Vandal Wine Company

Red Blend

The Gonzo Combat Rouge is a rather unusual field blend of Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc and Viognier which are co-fermented with whole bunch fermentation.  The results is a beautifully supple yet plush and ripe red wine with sweet, spicy raspberry and cherry fruit. We've found it drinks best slightly chilled on a warm evening.
