Petit Manseng

This wine comes from the Jurancon in south west France, with this region specialising in dry, medium sweet and sweet wines from the Petit and Gros Manseng grape varieties. These varieties are quite unique, they tend to be fruit driven, with a zesty spine, and honeyed notes as well as being interesting wines and very food friendly, they can, if stored correctly last for many years.

Domaine Badoz are 10th Generation winemakers in the Jura and know a thing or two about the unique, foodie wines of this part of France.  This Savagnin shows typical citrus and green apple characters mixed with a complex nuttiness.  Ageing in old wood gives texture and body yet the acidity is keen and fresh, making this a fabulous food wine, especially with Comte Cheese and other regional dishes.
