Description
The Gonzo Combat Rouge is a rather unusual field blend of Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc and Viognier which are co-fermented with whole bunch fermentation. The results is a beautifully supple yet plush and ripe red wine with sweet, spicy raspberry and cherry fruit. We’ve found it drinks best slightly chilled on a warm evening.
Vandal Wines is the side project of three Marlborough based winemakers allowing them to experiment with methods they wouldn’t usually get to bottle. But fret not, despite their experimental nature all the Vandal wines are made with the aim of being easily ‘smashable’!

Gaja's Brunello di Montalcino shows notes of juniper berries, liquorice and sweet wood on the nose. This wine has remarkable texture, mouth-filling fruit and a very good length.

Pinot Noir
The grapes for this wine are hand harvested from 2 parcels in the heart of Mercurey where the soil is clay and limestone. They spend 10-15 days fermenting in the tank before being put into French oak barrels, 30% of which are new. The wine then spends 12 months in barrel before being blended and bottled.
