Description

Antonio Camillo produces wines full of life, vitality and character from this estate in Manciano, Tuscany. Cultivation is organic and vinification follows principals of minimal intervention, allowing for wines which are a pure expression of both the grape variety and the land in which they grow.

Fermented in stainless steel, this is a simple, highly agreeable Vermentino. A little splash of lime and easy, buttery, mid-palate fruit with a pinch of dried herbs at the end.

Chenin Blanc

The Zevenwacht Tin Mine White is a stunning blend of Chenin, Chardonnay, Roussanne, Viognier and Semillon, coming from vineyards planted on decomposed granite soils which lie between 200 and 350m above sea level.  Ageing in 500 litre French oak barrels helps add to the wonderful texture without detracting from the impeccably integrated exotic, spicey fruit and lively yet balanced acidity.

Riesling

Jean-Christophe Bott is heir to the family tradition dating back to 1795, when his ancestor, Jean-Martin Geyl tended his vines and made his wine. Jean-Christophe Bott has been responsible for Domaine Bott-Geyl since 1993 and he converted the vineyards to be organic in 2000 and then biodynamic in 2002.  In the vineyards he concentrates on low yields and in the cellars he oversees the vinification in the most natural and minimalist manner to produce wines with precise varietal character.
