Description
The Rosso di Valtellina is made from predominantly Nebbiolo (known locally as Chievennasca), and tiny amounts of the local grapes of Pignola, Rossola and Brugnola grown in the high altitude vineyards of Valtellina. This is a delightful red which is relatively pale in the glass with bright ruby tints. The nose is fresh and floral with notes of violets and rose. Mid-weight and pretty on the palate yet with a little bit of Nebbiolo power lingering in the background. This delicious red is stainless steel fermented and destined for enjoying whilst young.

2020 Chateau Saransot-Dupre, Listrac Medoc, Magnum
Bordeaux Blend
Chateau Saransot-Dupre is a favourably sited 17 hectares property that lies between Fourcas Dupré and Fourcas Hosten in Listrac. Due to Listrac’s cooler temperatures, Merlot and Cabernet Franc are favoured over Cabernet Sauvignon to form the majority of the blend, helping them achieve optimum ripeness. Much like Chateau Fourcas Hosten, the wines have improved year on year since 2010 and the property were put on the radar thanks to a certain Robert Parker hailing the 2010 vintage as 'classed growth quality'. High praise indeed!
