Description
The chunky bottle of this Yarra Valley Cabernet deceives as to what lies inside. Amphora aged on skins for 150 days and then pressed into old French oak for a further 150 days, this is a highly aromatic, sophisticated and somewhat elegant expression of Cabernet Sauvignon.
“It’s bright garnet, potpourri- scented and glides onto the front palate with ripe blackberry flavour. Cherry, spice, mint and savoury oak integrate on the middle and the finish has supple earthy tannins. Drink with honey and soy glazed pork fillet and cellar for nine years. 5 stars”

Nerello Mascalese
The Nostru range from Azienda Agricola Cortese offer terrific value, expressive wines made with grapes more commonly associated with the slopes of Mount Etna. The farming here is traditional and a nod to when organic production was a way of life rather than an informed decision.

2020 Chateau Saransot Dupre, Cru Bourgeois Superieurlistrac
Bordeaux Blend
Chateau Saransot-Dupre is a favourably sited 17 hectares property that lies between Fourcas Dupré and Fourcas Hosten in Listrac. Due to Listrac’s cooler temperatures, Merlot and Cabernet Franc are favoured over Cabernet Sauvignon to form the majority of the blend, helping them achieve optimum ripeness. Much like Chateau Fourcas Hosten, the wines have improved year on year since 2010 and the property were put on the radar thanks to a certain Robert Parker hailing the 2010 vintage as 'classed growth quality'. High praise indeed!
