The Warramate Syrah shows perfumed ripe plum notes entwined with licorice spice elements on the nose.  A medium-bodied style reflecting its’ cool-climate origins.  Whole bunch fermentation gives the wine a juicy fruit core and a lightness on the palate, with gentle tannins supporting the fruit.

2018 Yarra Yering Dry Red No.1, Yarra Valley

Bordeaux Blend

The Yarra Yering Dry Red No.1 is an Aussie classic and comes from a winery that is regarded as one of the country's finest.  The Dry Red No.1 is a Bordeaux style blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot, 12% Malbec and 5% Petit Verdot, all of which are hand harvested, and hand sorted to ensure only the finest berries make the final blend.  The Cabernet is crushed prior to fermentation whilst the other varieties are fermented whole and all are vinified seperately.  The wines are then matured seperately in French Oak (40-50% new), and blended prior to bottling.
