The GX Garnatxa, Alta Alella wine has a slight cherry colour with purple flecks. On the nose there are aromas of red fruit and gentle violet aromas. The palate is has plenty of red fruits, is fresh and well balanced, leading to medium length finish with soft tannins.
The estate lies just two kilometers from the Mediterranean Sea, with the vineyards located on slopes and terraces between 100-250m above sea level. The vines are grown on Sauló soil which is one of the most important elements that define the wines from Alta Alella. It’s an acidic white granite-based sandy soil with low limestone content, low organic matter and good natural water drainage.

2020 Chateau Saransot Dupre, Cru Bourgeois Superieurlistrac
Chateau Saransot-Dupre is a favourably sited 17 hectares property that lies between Fourcas Dupré and Fourcas Hosten in Listrac. Due to Listrac’s cooler temperatures, Merlot and Cabernet Franc are favoured over Cabernet Sauvignon to form the majority of the blend, helping them achieve optimum ripeness. Much like Chateau Fourcas Hosten, the wines have improved year on year since 2010 and the property were put on the radar thanks to a certain Robert Parker hailing the 2010 vintage as 'classed growth quality'. High praise indeed!
