It also carries some floral notes and spice such as black pepper, clove, vanilla and balsamic, whihc intensifies in the glasss. As well as this, you will also fine some fine notes of oak. On the palate it is well balanced with good acidity and a slightly sweet entrance. This is a smooth wine with body and long, round tannins.

These are all full flavoured wines from unique blends of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and the native Tintilla de Rota, which are aged in French oak, producing delicious full flavours with surprising finesse.

Grape Varieties: Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Tintilla de Rota y Cabernet Franc.

Bordeaux Blend

Chateau Saransot-Dupre is a favourably sited 17 hectares property that lies between Fourcas Dupré and Fourcas Hosten in Listrac.  Due to Listrac’s cooler temperatures, Merlot and Cabernet Franc are favoured over Cabernet Sauvignon to form the majority of the blend, helping them achieve optimum ripeness.  Much like Chateau Fourcas Hosten, the wines have improved year on year since 2010 and the property were put on the radar thanks to a certain Robert Parker hailing the 2010 vintage as 'classed growth quality'.  High praise indeed!
