Description

The 2012 Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru from Champagne Lenoble is simply remarkable, combining richness, elegance and complexity due to it’s extended ageing.  Wildly complex, and by no means a shrinking violet, showing an inviting nose of toasty oak, crushed bourbon biscuits and honeyed richness. The palate is soft yet very rich, with candied citrus fruit, aniseed and more honeyed nuances, leading to a fresh, impeccably balanced finish.  Terrific now, yet has plenty of potential to develop further for those who like their Champagnes big and rich.

Crafted from 100% wines from the 2012 harvest, this vintage champagne begins with traditional pressing and vinification in tanks to preserve freshness and precision. The wines are aged in a combination of tanks and 228-litre oak barrels, adding texture and complexity while maintaining balance. The cuvée is then matured on its lees for more than 10 years in the house’s historic cellars, developing remarkable depth and refinement. Finished with an Extra Brut dosage of 3g/L, the wine combines richness, freshness and exceptional ageing character.

The La Signa-Terres from Paul Lebrun shows an incredible butter-like creaminess alongside orchard fruits, citrus and almond aromas. Toasty, but with a soft palate thanks to the mild dosage and a creamy petillance which doesn't overpower the delicate texture and freshness. The finish is lengthy with hints of toast, zest and salted almonds.
