Description
Germar Breton are a relatively young Champagne House that started in 2005. Based in the southerly Aube region, they make approachable, terrific value wines solely from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, eschewing the use of Pinot Meunier as they believe that it brings a harshness ot the final wine.
100% Chardonnay with 6 years on it’s lees and a mere 3 grams per litre dosage, putting it firmly in the Extra Brut category. As with all the Germr Breton wines, this is amazing value and drinks beautfully. The wonderful balance of richness and crisp, fresh acidity keeps one coming back for glass after glass.

Mixed Case
The D’orset Brut Reserve and Brut Rose are our own label traditional method sparkling wines made in conjunction with our friends at Langham Estate. We’ve worked closely with Langham from their first vintage and have been staunch supporters of their fabulous, low intervention wines since day one, so it made perfect sense for us to collaborate on an own label project.

NV Blanc de Blancs ‘La Signa-Terres’, Champagne Paul Lebrun
Chardonnay
The La Signa-Terres from Paul Lebrun shows an incredible butter-like creaminess alongside orchard fruits, citrus and almond aromas. Toasty, but with a soft palate thanks to the mild dosage and a creamy petillance which doesn't overpower the delicate texture and freshness. The finish is lengthy with hints of toast, zest and salted almonds.

Their vines’ average age is over 30 years and the dramatically sloping vineyards, which are of chalk and Kimmeridgian limestone, are planted mainly to Pinot Noir and just a little Chardonnay. Their wines are full and rich and offer enticing aromas and flavours of summer fruits.
