The Luis Canas Rioja Crianza is a lovely ruby red colour and shows a clean nose with notes of balsamic and fine nuances of redcurrants, strawberries and raspberries with clean oak. Smooth, fruit and spice flavours with toasted oak, velvety cherry fruit and a slight hint of liquorice. Lasting rich fruit flavours with smooth round tannins. Complex and structured. A pleasant finish with red fruits and hints of eucalyptus.

Grenache Blend

Newfound Wines, a small family owned winery located in the Sierra Foothills was established in 2016 and is the very essence of 'New California'.  Matt and Audra were intent on intent on producing wine in the most sustainable way possible and tore out the existing vineyard that they purchased.  Amongst the mesaures they took was to enlist the help of 200 goats to graze the hillsides and to naturally compost the site, as well as creating a fire safe zone by lifting the densely forested canopy and cover cropped with a recipe of legumes, clovers and nitrogen fixing green manures.

The SGZ by Silent Noise is an immensely enjoyable wine and is an unsual blend of Shiraz, Grenache & Zinfandel made in a very fresh, approachable style. Upfront, the aromas are boiled sweets and white cherries followed closely by a young vibrant perfume and notes of orange oil. On the palate there's bright red mouthfilling fruit with undertones of savoury dusty dark berry fruits and spice.

2020 5 Finques Reserva, Perelada, DO Emporda

Red Blend

The  Perelada 5 Finques Reserva is deep cherry red in the glass, with a nose brimming with red fruits and spices, some balsamic notes and a toasted background.  In the mouth it is fresh, well structured and balanced with prominent but well integrated tannins. Characterful and a pure pleasure to drink.
