Description
The La Foule Chardonnay is a delicious, fruit led white wine from the Languedoc with ripe fruit, buttery notes and nicely integrated oak. Packed with citrus, pineapple and almond tinged fruit and a tantalising creamy texture, this is a terrific value alternative to entry level white burgundy.
The grapes are harvested early in the season, in the fresh morning. The pressing is very gentle, in a pneumatic press preserving the crop quality. The cool fermentation is driven under the influence of medium-toasted French oak. Malolactic fermentation is arrested to preserve the freshness of the wine. A portion of the wine is then aged for 5 months on it’s fine lees with regular stirring before bottling
