Description
It’s Bordeaux Jim, but not as we know it! Outlandish winemaker Olivier Cazenave likes to do things a little differently and this Orange Bordeaux is testament to that. Made with predominantly Semillon that spends two weeks on skins before being run off by gravity into a seperate tank for a further 6 months at 5 degrees Celcius until bottling. A tiny amount of traditionally fermented Sauvignon and Muscadelle is added to add freshness and a floral edge. No sulphur was used at harvest and is only used in the bottling process when absolutely necessary.
The wine itself is refreshing and complex with tangerine, tropical fruits and floral notes. Mouthfilling, generous and rounded on the complex palate with a long, spicy citrus tinged finish.

Chateau Saransot-Dupre is a favourably sited 17 hectares property that lies between Fourcas Dupré and Fourcas Hosten in Listrac. Due to Listrac’s cooler temperatures, Merlot and Cabernet Franc are favoured over Cabernet Sauvignon to form the majority of the blend, helping them achieve optimum ripeness. Domaine de la Bretonniere have been making wine in the Loire for generations. With an utmost respect for the environment and meticulous attention to detail in the vineyard they are able to produce vibrant, crisp wines with lovely pure fruit and crisp, balanced acidity. The Cap A l'Ouest Sauvignon is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Gris and has a bright, pale yellow appearance with golden reflections. The intense bouquet of flowers and lychee follow through to the generous palate that manages to be powerful and fruit-forward whilst retaining freshness and zip with long lasting acidity.

The Tokara Reserve Chardonnay has aromas of lemon curd, honeysuckle, oatmeal and toasted brioche which leap from the glass. There are plenty of bold, ripe yellow citrus fruit flavours initially on the palate, which lead to a creamy mid-palate with subtle vanilla, star anise and toasted almond. There is a continuous saline focus and feeling of freshness throughout. A wine of restrained power and finesse.
