Description
The Hanewald-Schwerdt Riesling Sekt Trocken has a steely lemon tinged nose with red apple and peach underpinned by zesty lime acidity, resulting in a lovely refreshing style. This is by no means bone dry though, and with 23grams of residual sugar this a fruitier style that is a great alternative to Prosecco for those looking for something a little different.
The family owned and operated estate Hanewald-Schwerdt was founded in 1955 in Leistadt. Today Thomas Hanewald & Stephan Schwerdt took over the family buisness which was established by their grandfather. Whilst the two cousins focus on Riesling and Pinot Noir, they also produce an accomplished range of wines from Grauburgunder, Weissburgunder and Morio Muskat amongst others and also some fabulous sparkling wines.

Glera
Our house prosecco is a beautiful extra dry style made from 100% Glera. More precision and freshness than the commercial styles found on the high street, it is delicate with a fine mousse and fresh aromas of wild flowers, apples and citrus, followed by a lovely clean finish.

Gamay
The Turbullent Rose is a deliciously light, refreshing and pretty rose made in the Methode Ancestrale way (not quite a Pet Nat). With fresh raspberry and red fruits, crisp acidity and a melt in the mouth palate, this is a delightful wine made with the local Gamay Saint Romain variety in the southernmost AC in the Loire.
