Moorooduc was established in 1982 by Richard and Jill McIntyre. Moorooduc is a small, family run wine business that has built an enviable reputation for complex and food friendly wines.
The philosophy here is to use top quality fruit that is produced by intensive, hands on work in the vineyard and minimal use of chemicals. The wines are then fermented using wild yeasts and minimal intervention to allow them to express the character of their individual sites. Moorooduc is rightly regarded as one of the leading lights in Mornington and one of the finest Pinot Noir producers in Australia.

The SGZ by Silent Noise is an immensely enjoyable wine and is an unsual blend of Shiraz, Grenache & Zinfandel made in a very fresh, approachable style. Upfront, the aromas are boiled sweets and white cherries followed closely by a young vibrant perfume and notes of orange oil. On the palate there's bright red mouthfilling fruit with undertones of savoury dusty dark berry fruits and spice.

There's plenty of ripe dark plum fruit, pepper and spice courtesy of the Shiraz with the rose petal perfume and red cherry flavours of Grenache. Well balanced through to the finish, this drinks really well now, but will cellar nicely for 5 years or so.
