The Berry Box Merlot from David Finlayson Wines displays a medley of small berry and fruit flavours including blackcurrant, raspberry, strawberry, mulberry and blackberry combining with a hint of anise and vanilla. These create a wine that is instantly gratifying in flavour whilst showing good structure and tannin concentration to allow for some maturation.
David Finlayson Wines is situated on 50 acres of South Africa’s finest viticultural real estate in the foothills of the Simonsberg Mountain. It was founded by renowned South African winemaker, David Finlayson in 2004 and produces a variety of premium wines that match different sectors of the market at various pricepoints.

The grapes for this medium weight, fruit led Julienas are hand harvested and left in tank for 10 days to macerate in order to optimise the colour and aroma of the wine. Fermentation takes place at a warm 27/28 degrees centigrade and maturation follows until March when the wine is bottled.An intense, purple colour. Fruity aromas dominated by fragrant raspberry, blackberry and blueberry. Round, supple and rich yet balanced by a lingering freshness on the finish.
