Description
The Funkstille Gruner Veltliner has subtle exotic hints, ripe pear and fresh citrus flavours. Dry, but not bone dry, with complex flavours. The palate is rich with flavours of melon and grapefruit with a refreshing, zippy finish.
This is a terrific introduction to the Gruner Veltliner grape from a fantastic, eco-minded property that is energy neutral, drawing power from their own bioplant and photovotaic cells. The vineyards are farmed sustainably and they even produce their own fertiliser.

Chasselas
This is a delicious, more'ish white made mainly from Chasselas, the grape variety which is typical to the Canton of Vaud. Yves and Antoine de Mestral like to play around with it, making wine several different styles, of which this was our favourite. Quite classic in style for Chasselas with a lovely balance of the creamy, fruity, floral and mineral palate. Rich and complex, this is a perfect wine to sip on its own, enjoy with fish and seafood.
