The 2020 Flametree Chardonnay is beautifully balanced, displaying power and elegance in equal measure, plenty of vibrant citrus and stone fruit flavours and supportive oak courtesy of 9 months barrel ageing. This is delicious now but will continue to develop for a couple of years.
Flametree Wines is located on the picturesque shores of Geographe Bay in Western Australia, entry point to the renowned Margaret River wine region. The previous vintage of this wine was a Decanter Magazine Wine of the Year in 2021 so it had big boots to fill! We were delighted to see that the 2020 vintage didn’t disappoint us when it landed.
