Description
The Sao Expressiu is an intense, concentrated and complex blend of predominantly Garnatxa with Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah playing a supporting role. Red and dark fruits mingle with balsamic notes and herbal undertones. The palate is full and deep yet remains fresh courtesy of some lovely integrated acidity. Although approachable after a decent decant and breathing, this terrific wine will continue to age gracefully for years to come.
The terroir driven wines of the family owned Mas Blanc i Jove in Costers del Segre are absolute joy. Passion and experience go into every single bottle in equal measure, whether it’s their top cuvees or entry level wine.

Chateau Saransot-Dupre is a favourably sited 17 hectares property that lies between Fourcas Dupré and Fourcas Hosten in Listrac. Due to Listrac’s cooler temperatures, Merlot and Cabernet Franc are favoured over Cabernet Sauvignon to form the majority of the blend, helping them achieve optimum ripeness. 2023 Mercurey Rouge 1er Cru, Domaine Meunier
Pinot Noir
The grapes for this wine are hand harvested from 2 parcels in the heart of Mercurey where the soil is clay and limestone. They spend 10-15 days fermenting in the tank before being put into French oak barrels, 30% of which are new. The wine then spends 12 months in barrel before being blended and bottled.

Gamay
This 100% Gamay from Domaine Moulin Camus comes from grapes grown on a slope of pure mica schist which gives the wine juicy, rounded red fruits a bit of tautness and minerality. A warmer than normal, sulphur free maceration for three days helps bring out some warmth and roundness to the fruit, making it slightly beaujolais'esque but without the bubble gum/commercial edge that one would normally find in this price range.
