Description
The Palazzo Del Mare Catarratto wine is crisp and citrus laced with passionfruit, sweet ripe lemons and a traces of almond on the finish. Light enough to be enjoyed on its own but also a great accompaniement to a variety of seafood dishes. The Catarratto grape calls sicily home and this example displays the signature crisp, citrus laced fruit filled style.
Palazzo del Mare’s vineyard sites are situated at an altitude of 200-300m, ensuring cooler night time temperatures which preserve crucial acidity in the grapes. Yields are naturally limited by the winds and the wines tend to be harvested earlier than many of their neighbours and consequently are bright and fresh.

2021 Puligny Montrachet, Domaine Meunier
Chardonnay
The grapes for this approachable Puligny are hand harvested and undergo a gentle pressing. The juice is then left to settle for a few days then put into French oak barrels, 30% of which are new. Indigenous yeasts are used for fermentation and the wine spends 12 months in barrel before being blended and bottled. Great persistence in the mouth, this wine has a wonderful freshness to it and can be enjoyed in it's youth.

2023 Riesling Sekt Trocken, Hanewald-Schwerdt, Pfalz
Riesling
The Hanewald-Schwerdt Riesling Sekt Trocken has a steely lemon tinged nose with red apple and peach underpinned by zesty lime acidity, resulting in a lovely refreshing style. This is by no means bone dry though, and with 23grams of residual sugar this a fruitier style that is a great alternative to Prosecco for those looking for something a little different.
