Description
On the nose the Manda Chuva frmo Heredade de Portocarro is very mineral-like with saline tinges and white fleshed fruits. The palate is imposing, assertive and has superb minerality. This complex white wine will continue to develop with a few years in bottle, but whilst young taking a sip is just like taking a dip in the Atlantic!
Located between the Peninsula of Setúbal and the intensely hot plains of Alentejo this 18 hectare vineyard is planted south facing at some altitude to benefit from the Atlantic Ocean’s cool breezes. It has had joint vinification in French oak vats.
