Description
The Olbieta Negre Marco Abella wine produces aromas of strawberry, blackberry and violet with fennel and spices. Smooth, fresh and velvety on the palate with a little bit of structure coming from ageing in French oak for three months.
The Olbieta range from Marcao Abella was created to reflect the characteristics and essence of Mediterranean wines, with a little dash of Priorat thrown in for good measure. The vines are situated at high elevation and not far from the Mediterranean coast. The influence of the vineyard soil (slate) and the Mediterranean climate create a true expression of terroir.
80% Garnacha,15% Carignan, 5% Syrah

Chateau Saransot-Dupre is a favourably sited 17 hectares property that lies between Fourcas Dupré and Fourcas Hosten in Listrac. Due to Listrac’s cooler temperatures, Merlot and Cabernet Franc are favoured over Cabernet Sauvignon to form the majority of the blend, helping them achieve optimum ripeness. Much like Chateau Fourcas Hosten, the wines have improved year on year since 2010 and the property were put on the radar thanks to a certain Robert Parker hailing the 2010 vintage as 'classed growth quality'. High praise indeed!
