Description
The Domaine de l’Ancienne Cure Monbazillac is an aromatic and complex dessert wine that is blended from Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Muscadelle and is among the best of the region. It’s a rich, sweet ‘liquoreux’ wine with aromas of dried fruit and honey. It can be drunk as an apéritif or with blue cheese or fruit desserts.
Christian Roche is one of the best producers in Monbazillac. Good alternative to Sauternes, botrytis affected (Noble Rot) Semillon, and is aged in new oak. Hints of sherbet and boiled sweets with a long complex finish.

The Moscatel Do Douro 5 Anos, Niepoort is characterised by its unmistakable Muscat aromas, with floral and citrussy notes with hints of nuts, spice and honey adding further complexity. The palate is of quintessential Niepoort style: excellent structure, high acidity and a long finish which emphasises its delicate and refreshing character. This wine is reminiscent of an Auslese-style wine and is ideal as an end to a beautiful dinner after various wines and Ports have been enjoyed.
