The Flametree Shiraz is made with a mixture of sund dried grapes, whole bunches (20-30%) and whole berries, all fermented at a cool temperature giving an elegant perfumed edge. The palate shows a wealth cherry, plum, liquorice and scorched earth flavours along with supporting spice. The balance of fruit, perfume and spice is superb and hint towards a wine that will age gracefully for up to 10 years from vintage.
Flametree Wines is located on the picturesque shores of Geographe Bay in Western Australia, entry point to the renowned Margaret River wine region. The Towner family built their state of the art winery in 2007 which helps demonstrate the Company’s unwavering commitment to excellence. Its design ensures minimal fruit handling and significant investment has been made in equipment and technology that retains the integrity and quality of fruit. 2023 Mercurey Rouge 1er Cru, Domaine Meunier
Pinot Noir
The grapes for this wine are hand harvested from 2 parcels in the heart of Mercurey where the soil is clay and limestone. They spend 10-15 days fermenting in the tank before being put into French oak barrels, 30% of which are new. The wine then spends 12 months in barrel before being blended and bottled.
