The Flametree Shiraz is made with a mixture of sund dried grapes, whole bunches (20-30%) and whole berries, all fermented at a cool temperature giving an elegant perfumed edge. The palate shows a wealth cherry, plum, liquorice and scorched earth flavours along with supporting spice. The balance of fruit, perfume and spice is superb and hint towards a wine that will age gracefully for up to 10 years from vintage.
Flametree Wines is located on the picturesque shores of Geographe Bay in Western Australia, entry point to the renowned Margaret River wine region. The Towner family built their state of the art winery in 2007 which helps demonstrate the Company’s unwavering commitment to excellence. Its design ensures minimal fruit handling and significant investment has been made in equipment and technology that retains the integrity and quality of fruit. The Un Bon Canon Cotes du Rhone hits the spot every time with it's fruit forward blend of 60% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 5% Cinsault and 5% Mouvedre which is fermented in concrete tanks. The vineyards lie in the southern part of the region on a dried up river bed strewn with heat retaining pebbles. The hot summer sun ensures that the wine is bold and fruity with raspberry and dark fruits and hints of garrigue/herbal undergrowth.
