The aromas are rich and inviting with juicy blackberry, violet, and anise lending layered complexity. The mid-palate is full and plummy with a touch of toasted oak. This structured yet smooth wine finishes with hints of cola and vanilla.
Hoopes have several vineyard plots scattered in the various sub-regions of Napa and this food friendly Cabernet comes from a mixture of sites. Tasting at Hoopes is a special experience and we can heartily recommend it. The Oasis at Hoopes houses a market garden and also an animal rescue centre housing a variety of pigs, chickens and donkeys (amongst others) that were displaced by the wildfires in 2017, and subsequent fires since.

This 100% Gamay from Domaine Moulin Camus comes from grapes grown on a slope of pure mica schist which gives the wine juicy, rounded red fruits a bit of tautness and minerality. A warmer than normal, sulphur free maceration for three days helps bring out some warmth and roundness to the fruit, making it slightly beaujolais'esque but without the bubble gum/commercial edge that one would normally find in this price range.
