The Loidana Marco Abella wine offers intense aromas of fruits (strawberry, cherry, raspberry and black cherries) with hints of blue flowers, cedar and spices. Smooth and velvety on the palate, it remains harmonious to the finish, and very fresh.
The Marco Abella family have been producing wines in the Priorat region since the 15th century, with David Marco returning to the region in the early naughties to breath new life into his ancestral vineyards. Marco Abella owns seven plots located on seven different peaks in the village of Porrera. These are the highest plots of the Priorat region. During the winemaking process they only use indigenous yeasts in the fermentation process and age the wines in their own cellars located seven meters below ground level – the lowest tier of their custom built gravity fed winery.
