Description
This Valpolicella Ripasso Classico Superiore ‘Canova’ is part of the ‘Gold Label’ range from Ca dei Maghi, representing the finest wines of this remarkable property. This is a luscious, ethereal red based on Corvina and shows a wealth of silky red fruits, raisined undertones and perfect balance – pure class! Hand harvested in October, the wine is fermented in stainless steel and then spends 4 years in oak resting on the Amarone marc, giving a wonderful depth and concentration.
Ca Dei Maghi is a wonderful family owned estate that is going from strength to strength under the current custodian. This small farm produces wines which embody the very essence of Valpolicella.

2022 Gonzo Combat Rouge, Vandal Wine Company
Red Blend
The Gonzo Combat Rouge is a rather unusual field blend of Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc and Viognier which are co-fermented with whole bunch fermentation. The results is a beautifully supple yet plush and ripe red wine with sweet, spicy raspberry and cherry fruit. We've found it drinks best slightly chilled on a warm evening.
