On the palate is it full-bodied, fruity and graceful with golden peach flavours. The long finish is distinctive with light toasty notes. All in all Folies de la Marquetterie is a full flavoured, harmonious Champagne distinguished by its immense richness and complexity. The Turbullent Rose is a deliciously light, refreshing and pretty rose made in the Methode Ancestrale way (not quite a Pet Nat).  With fresh raspberry and red fruits, crisp acidity and a melt in the mouth palate, this is a delightful wine made with the local Gamay Saint Romain variety in the southernmost AC in the Loire.

NV Blanc de Blancs, Langham Wine Estate, Dorset

Chardonnay

Following many ultra-successful vintage releases, the Langham Blanc de Blancs has switched to a non vintage blend following the 2018 vintage.  Made with 100% Chardonnay, 90% of which is from the 2020 vintage, and aged on the lees for three years, this is an energetic and wonderfully focussed Blanc de Blancs. The nose displays a tense balance between ripe green apple and conference pear with notes of white flowers and intense graphite minerality. The palate is delicate yet weighty in texture, with soft ripe pear, honeydew melon and white grapefruit acidity, finishing with a trademark saline nuttiness.

Germar Breton are a relatively young Champagne House that started in 2005.  Based in the southerly Aube region, they make approachable, terrific value wines solely from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, eschewing the use of Pinot Meunier as they believe that it brings a harshness ot the final wine.
