Description
A classic Amarone della Valpolicella, the Terre di San Zeno from Corteforte is a wonderfully decadent and sophisticated wine. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel and the wine is then aged in steel for a further 24 – 36 months before ageing in large French oak and then smaller French oak barrels for 12 months in each. The wine is then bottled and released following an additional 12 month period in bottle. Although approachable when released, this tremendous Amarone will continue to develop in bottle for a good decade following release.
Complex Kirsch and dark cherry fruits mingle with Liquorice and spice on the ethereal palate that is balanced and powerful.
65% Corvina, Corvinone, 20% Rondinella, 10% Molinara and 5% other native grapes
