Description

Chateau Angludet is one of the oldest properties in the Medoc and is owned by the Sichel family, 6th generation Bordeaux Negociants and part owners of Chateau Palmer.  The wines from Angludet come from vineyards which are all classified as Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel and are consistently excellent.

“This is an unqualified sleeper of the vintage, a beautifully opulent, rich, dense, ruby/purple-colored wine with sweet cassis fruit intermixed with some licorice and resiny notes. Quite full-bodied, pure, with good, sweet fruit covering moderate levels of tannin, this is a beauty and an undeniable bargain for a wine of this quality. In fact, Im not sure that its not even better than my rating.” Robert Parker, Wine Advocate April 2005

Rhone Blend

The Un Bon Canon Cotes du Rhone hits the spot every time with it's fruit forward blend of 60% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 5% Cinsault and 5% Mouvedre which is fermented in concrete tanks.  The vineyards lie in the southern part of the region on a dried up river bed strewn with heat retaining pebbles.  The hot summer sun ensures that the wine is bold and fruity with raspberry and dark fruits and hints of garrigue/herbal undergrowth.
