Fewer than sixty carefully selected casks come together to create The Glenturret 12 Years Old – crafted by hand and forming the heart of The Glenturret range. American oak casks drive the salted caramel sweetness whilst European oak layers the dried fruits and spices leading to a full rich single malt. This terrific dram shows raisins and sultanas initially which lead into sweetness of vanilla with some cinnamon spice. More warming spice in the guise of nutmeg and ginger leads to a fruitier finish with mature oak.
