Description

The Goldschatz, Oliver Zeter is an unusual dessert wine which is incredibly exotic, with delicate yellow fruit coupled with hints of nougat, chocolate and coffee.

The story goes that Oliver found this parcel of wine languishing in their cellars and was so impressed by the quality and complexity of it… it’s a blend of different vintages and a mix of grapes you may have heard of.

Chenin Blanc

We are big fans of the wines from Baumard and with some of them ranking as some of the very best available from this part of the Loire they are priced accordingly!  Thankfully, the terrific Carte d'Or is extremely well-priced and offers a wonderful introduction into both the wines of the region and the Baumard style in general.

Brachetto

The history of the Brachetto is steeped in legend and fascination. An antique drink that was mentioned for the first time during the Roman empire when writers described the customs of the ‘Gallia Cisalpina’ (Gaul, on this side of the Alpes), speaking of a sweet aromatic wine of Acqui Terme, very appreciated by the patricians.

Douro Blend

A brick-red appearance with some light orange tinges leads into a fine slightly smokey aroma with hints of dried fruits. The palate is refreshing, with wonderful acidity and hints of dried apricots and crystallised fruit, leading to a lengthy mellow spirit driven finish.
