Description
This very pretty rose is crisp, fresh and packed with red berry and citrus tinged fruit. Lovely, balanced acidity and a slight savoury tinge make this a great food wine that pairs well with a variety of mediterranean dishes, especially fresh shell fish.
Voyatzi Estate sits at the base of the Pieria Mountains, near Lake Polyfytos in Velvento, Western Macedonia. In the early ’90s, Yannis, a Bordeaux-trained winemaker, teamed up with his engineer brother Nico and their father Harissis to create a modern 12-hectare vineyard. At 340 meters above sea level, the vineyard enjoys a special microclimate by the lake, which balances temperature and humidity—perfect for growing native Greek grapes. From the start, the family has followed organic farming principles, focusing on crafting high-quality wines with real character. They grow Assyrtiko, Xinomavro, and Tsapournakos (a type of Cabernet Franc), along with other local varieties, highlighting the depth and beauty of Greek wine culture.
This wine is a blend of Xinomavro and Moschomavro
