Xinomavro

The Rapsansi Red is made from a blend of Xinomavro, Krasato and Stavroto and shows a perfumed nose of roses and red fruit compote with hints of peppery spice and tobacco.  The palate is fresh and lively with macerated cherries and red plums fruit characters.  Elegant and medium-bodied with moderately firm but fine tannins, reminiscent of powdered cocoa.

The Alpha Estate Syrah/Xinomavro is a 50/50 blend of the two varieties and is full bodied with concentrated, complex aromas of ripe blackberry, spice, vanilla, clove and cracked pepper.
