Description
The Terre de Zeus Malagousia is a wonderful example of classy, modern Greek winemaking. Certified Organic, this enticing white wine comes from a 16 hectare, family owned vineyard that sits between 100 and 400 metres above sea level on the slopes of Mount Olympus in Macedonia. Refreshing and juicy, this dry white has notes of peach and nectarine with crisp citrus tinged, and slightly saline acidity. There’s also a lovely vein of minerality running through the wine that keeps it focussed.
The grapes were sorted on a vibrating conveyor belt table, before being gently pressed and the juice receiving 24-hour skin contact. Classic white vinification took place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 16°C. The wine was matured for three months with fine lees contact, imparting subtle complexity. 20% of total quantity was vinified with indigenous yeasts.
