Description
The Age of Grace Viognier is a beautifully balanced, barrel fermented white wine from the cool climate vineyards of the Cape South Coast. Gentle, whole bunch pressing and slow extraction helps maintain the character and quality of the juice. The wine is settled for 48 hours before 70% being racked into seasoned 225 litre French Oak barrels, the remainder into concrete egg for fermentation and ageing 10 months.
This is quite remarkable, perfumed and exotic notes of honeysuckle and orange blossom mingle with kiwi and stone fruits on the nose. The textured, silky palate lets the brightness of fruit shine through but never lets you forget the impeccably integrated oak element to this wine. Lifted and poised, this fabulous wine is drinking beautfully now but will continue to develop for several years from vintage.

Chateau Saransot-Dupre is a favourably sited 17 hectares property that lies between Fourcas Dupré and Fourcas Hosten in Listrac. Due to Listrac’s cooler temperatures, Merlot and Cabernet Franc are favoured over Cabernet Sauvignon to form the majority of the blend, helping them achieve optimum ripeness. Much like Chateau Fourcas Hosten, the wines have improved year on year since 2010 and the property were put on the radar thanks to a certain Robert Parker hailing the 2010 vintage as 'classed growth quality'. With an utmost respect for the environment and meticulous attention to detail in the vineyard they are able to produce vibrant, crisp wines with lovely pure fruit and crisp, balanced acidity. The Cap A l'Ouest Sauvignon is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Gris and has a bright, pale yellow appearance with golden reflections. The intense bouquet of flowers and lychee follow through to the generous palate that manages to be powerful and fruit-forward whilst retaining freshness and zip with long lasting acidity.

The Fels Am from Anton Waldschutz is a fuller expression of Gruner Veltliner with some added depth and texture due to 6 months ageing on lees. There's so much to excite here, with a nose of exotic fruits, spice and dried herbs. The palate is full, round and rich yet doesn't lack any of the spiciness one would expect from the grape. This is delicious now but could age gracefully for years to come.
