Description

The Round Stone Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough is a typically vivacious and fresh example of this style.  Vibrant and aromatic with tropical fruits on both the nose and palate, with appealing herbal tinges and zesty, thirst quenching acidity on the finish.

2022 Gruner Veltliner Fels Am, Anton Waldschutz

Gruner Veltliner

The Fels Am from Anton Waldschutz is a fuller expression of Gruner Veltliner with some added depth and texture due to 6 months ageing on lees.  There's so much to excite here, with a nose of exotic fruits, spice and dried herbs.  The palate is full, round and rich yet doesn't lack any of the spiciness one would expect from the grape.  This is delicious now but could age gracefully for years to come.

2020 Palomino Castillo de San Diego, Barbadillo, Cadiz

Palomino

The Barbadillo Palomino Castillo de San Diego is crisp, fresh and unfortified!  This dry, refreshing white is a great example of the Sherry regions principle grape variety.  The wine is perfect spring/summer quaffing and a great stepping stone to appreciating the more complex, fortified and solera aged versions from DO Jerez.
