Description

The beautifully supple Matawhero Merlot comes from sustainable, dry farmed vineyards in Gisborne.  Tyical of the variety the nose shows open plum and dark berry fruit that leads to a soft, rounded and fruity palate that has whiffs of old oak and classic earthy undertones.

I am drinking this wine in New Zealand. It is one of the best Merlots I have drunk so will want to buy more when I am back.
